BLACK+DECKER

Black and Decker is an American manufacturing corporation originally established in 1910 by founders S. Duncan Black and Alonzo G. Decker. It produces and sells home improvement products, power tools, fastening devices, and hardware.

Headquartered in Towson, Maryland, a merger between Stanley Works and Black and Decker changed the corporation’s official name to Stanley Black and Decker. The corporation’s home improvement and hardware division was purchased in 2012 by Spectrum Brands, which produces a range of brands, including Dewalt, Delta Machinery, Baldwin, DustBuster, and Price Pfister.
