Sega
Sega, short for Service Games, was founded by Martin Bromley, Irving Bromberg, and James Humpert to provide coin-operated games machines to military bases during the 40s. Eventually, they moved into arcade games and the video game home console market finding success with the Master System, Mega Drive, Game Gear, and Saturn.
However, the release of the Dreamcast console marked the end of their production of game consoles, and they instead chose to concentrate their efforts on arcade machines, for which they remain the world’s largest manufacturer. Sega has headquarters in Tokyo, Japan; Irvine, California, USA; and London, England.
