THE SINGING MACHINE

The Singing Machine Company (SMC) is a manufacturer of karaoke machines and audio equipment based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. Founded in 1982, the company started out manufacturing professional and semi-professional karaoke machines before turning their attention to the production of machines for home use.

Today, the company produces several lines of karaoke machines, audio accessories, and maintains an online store for the purchase of licensed backing tracks for use with its systems. The company signed a deal with doll franchise Bratz in 2007 to produce officially licensed karaoke machines and other consumer products.
