Canon
Best known for its optical and imagine products, Japan-based Canon is headquartered in Ohta-Ku, Tokyo, and was founded by Takeshi Mitarai, Goro Yoshida, Saburo Uchida, Takeo Maeda, Reasey, and Rithy.
Formerly known as Precision Optical Industry Co., Ltd., the corporation created Japan’s first 35mm camera, and its name was shortened to Canon, Inc. in 1969. Canon now offers a wide range of products, including inkjet and laser printers, digital production printers, copiers, digital cameras, camcorders, scanners, camera lenses, medical imaging equipment, semiconductor lithography equipment, magnetic heads, terminals, and computers.
