Plantronics is an electronics company that specializes in audio and communication equipment, based in Santa Cruz, California, USA. The company was started in 1961 by Courtney Graham and Keith Larkin, who responded to demand from the aviation industry for more convenient, lightweight headsets for pilots.
The company then went on to develop a range of headsets for use in the home, office, and even by NASA astronauts. Plantronics also grew through the acquisition of several companies including Altec Lansing, Volume Logic, and Clarity.
